ZigZag Global Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Engineer (Backend & Infrastructure) to drive reliability, scalability, and a unified post-purchase platform. Fully remote in Portugal, you will shape technical standards, orchestrate cloud resources, and mentor squads across engineering teams.

You will lead the evolution of our backend stack (Rails and Go) and ensure robust observability, security, and performance as the business scales in Europe.

Qualificações

• Extensive experience in cloud architecture and scalable backend systems.
• Proficiency with GCP; AWS/Azure experience is a plus.
• Strong Ruby on Rails expertise; backend & infrastructure focus.
• Excellent communication and leadership across cross‑functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Drive a coherent technology strategy aligned with product priorities.
• Ensure architectural decisions support key initiatives and objectives.
• Oversee service reliability, incidents, SLAs, and observability.
• Lead CI/CD improvements, code reviews, and security practices on the backend.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure and resource allocation during peak periods.
