Catawiki is seeking an experienced software engineer to help develop and scale our microservices platform in Lisbon, Portugal. You will design, implement and deploy backend services with a focus on high availability, low latency, and data-driven improvements.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to RFC documentation while working in a startup-like environment with relocation options to Portugal.

Qualificações

• At least 7+ years of software development experience with object-oriented programming.
• Experience in designing, implementing and deploying backend services with high availability, low latency and consistency.
• Proven collaboration with engineers to function in an autonomous, cross-functional team.
• Mentored junior engineers and worked with engineers across the company.
• Understanding of the value of contributions to business, product and customer impact.
• Ability to document RFCS and discuss pros/cons of solutions.

• Build scalable microservices and monitor system performance.
• Contribute to product innovations and use data-driven experimentation to deliver features and improve user experience on the platform.
• Collaborate with the Development team to ship features and iterate quickly.
