Job summary

Wyden is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our technology team. This remote, full-time role involves designing and implementing features for our core product and trading infrastructure, using the latest cloud technologies.

The position is ideal for someone based near Lisbon with willingness to travel occasionally for in-person meetings. The candidate should bring strong Java/Kotlin proficiency, extensive distributed systems experience, and experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ and AWS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Hands-on with modern CI/CD practices and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement future releases of Wyden core product and trading infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product management, development team, and customers.
• Operate distributed systems in cloud environments and ensure security/authentication mechanisms.
