UpHill, Lda. in Portugal is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team building a decision support SaaS platform for healthcare.

You will design and implement microservices in Java 17 / Spring Boot 3, deploy on AWS, and ensure scalable, secure solutions that improve patient outcomes. You will work autonomously yet collaboratively with product, design, and ops, uphold coding standards, and drive production readiness while maintaining a strong focus on quality and

Qualificações

• Bachelor or higher in computer engineering or equivalent.
• Strong backend experience with Java/Spring in production.
• Experience with microservices and cloud-native architectures.

Responsabilidades

• Design microservices in collaboration with the architect and define APIs and data models.
• Develop, test, and maintain microservices with Java 17 and Spring Boot 3.
• Contribute to AWS cloud infrastructure and deployment practices.
• Showcase solutions during reviews with clear design decisions.
• Define and uphold coding conventions across the team.
• Own initiatives and deliver end-to-end features.
• Operate autonomously while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Focus on product value and user outcomes.
