Job summary

NuroTrace is seeking a Senior Backend & DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and operate scalable TypeScript-based backend systems. You will architect secure services, establish DevOps practices, and mentor engineers to improve performance and productivity.

You will lead the development of REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices, and cloud-native infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP, while optimizing databases, CI/CD pipelines, and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and database optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience deploying and operating production workloads on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of Git workflows and automated testing.
• Experience implementing observability using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services using TypeScript/Node.js.
• Architect RESTful and GraphQL APIs and microservices.
• Lead distributed system design and deployment.
• Optimize databases, queries, and caching for performance.
• Establish coding standards and best practices; mentor engineers.
• Review code and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term fixes.
• Drive CI/CD and cloud-native infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Build and maintain Docker/Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Implement IaC with Terraform/Pulumi/CFn and monitor systems.
