Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking a Senior AWS/Redshift Database Administrator for Porto with hybrid work arrangements. You will support mission critical AWS data environments, optimize queries, and influence technology choices across international projects.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) and have 5+ years of database administration experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in information technology / Maths / Physics / Statistics / Engineering or equivalent working experience.
• 5+ years of Database Administration experience on supporting mission critical environments on AWS technologies.
• Installation and configuration of AWS-based databases.
• Performance and tuning of database systems.
• Query optimization for AWS databases.
• Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch is a plus.

• A master’s degree in information technology / Maths / Physics / Statistics / Engineering or has an equivalent working experience.
• 5+ years of Database Administration experience on supporting mission critical environments on AWS technologies:
• AWS RDS and Aurora
• PostgreSQL and MySQL
• Redshift
• Key requirements are:
• Installation and configuration
• Performance & tuning
• Query optimization
• Will be considered a plus the knowledge of the following AWS services:
• S3
• IAM
• Lambda
• CloudWatch
• Strong persuading and influencing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively at both business and technical levels.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently with the minimum of supervision.
• The ability to liaise with different levels of staff within the organization.
• Good team player.
• Must be motivated to progress in the role.
• Self-starter with the ability to plan and manage work according to deadlines
• Pragmatic approach.
• Willingness to share experience / knowledge.
• As part of the Team, the new resource will be responsible to support at 360° database layer of several services on different technologies, participate into international projects and have a chance to influence current and future technology choices.
