Job summary

The Bosch Group is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to own the full lifecycle of automotive hardware development, from initial architecture to series production. You will define architectures, lead reviews, and collaborate with international teams to ensure robust, cost-effective designs that meet EMC, thermal and functional safety standards.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electronic hardware development for automotive applications.
• Strong knowledge of analogue design principles and simulations.
• Experience with hardware validation, release processes and automotive standards (EMC, thermal, functional safety).
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Execute complex electronic hardware development tasks including schematics, simulations and BOM creation.
• Define and justify electronic hardware architecture with system- and vehicle-level impact.
• Act as technical authority for electronic hardware topics within the product line.
• Lead hardware design reviews, audits, and cross-functional discussions with international teams and customers.
• Represent hardware development in milestones, technical reviews and release decisions, communicating risks and mitigation plans.
• Independently analyze and resolve complex hardware issues including EMC, thermal aging and derating.
• Optimize designs for cost, robustness, safety and manufacturability for industrialization and series production.
