Jobbex IT in Portugal is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to join one of our clients. You will support and integrate transactional and batch applications following established operational standards, ensuring incidents, changes and performance are managed in a timely manner.

Ideal candidates have strong Linux administration experience, familiarity with Control-M, Apache HTTP Server, JBoss and Tomcat, plus a solid understanding of application architecture, networking and security.

Qualificações

• Strong Linux administration experience and Windows knowledge.
• Experience with Control-M, Apache HTTP Server, JBoss and Tomcat.
• Understanding of architecture, networking, databases, security, CI/CD and DevSecOps.
• Analytical, communication and collaboration skills with a proactive mindset.
• Nice to have: cash processing or other business-critical applications experience and improving production support processes.

What you'll be doing:

• Support and integrate transactional and batch applications following established operational standards.
• Manage incidents, problems, changes, performance and service availability.

You'll be a great match if you have;

• Strong Linux administration experience and working knowledge of Windows.
• Experience with Control-M (or another enterprise scheduler), Apache HTTP Server, JBoss and Tomcat.
• Basic understanding of application architecture, networking, databases, security, CI/CD and DevSecOps.
• Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills with a proactive mindset.
• Nice to have: experience supporting cash processing or other business-critical applications, and improving production support processes and operational controls.
