Job summary

CI&T is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to design, maintain, and evolve data models powering BI and analytical solutions. You will own the layered dbt data model, enabling reliable data consumption for Power BI and downstream applications.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across regions to harmonize KPIs, support a pricing engine MVP, and build scalable data workflows using Databricks, Azure, dbt, SQL, and Python.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or related data-focused role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with dbt.
• Experience designing and maintaining layered data models for analytics and BI.
• Experience with Databricks and Azure data environments.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing, analysis, or automation.
• Experience with Power BI, particularly data modeling for reporting.
• Strong understanding of data quality, data validation, and consistent metric definitions.
• Ability to translate business requirements into robust, reusable data models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across regions.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the layered dbt data model for consistency across consumers.
• Develop and maintain data transformation workflows using dbt and SQL.
• Extend data models to support the pricing engine MVP with item categorization.
• Harmonize business KPIs across regions with consistent definitions.
• Build and optimize analytical data solutions using Databricks and Azure.
• Apply Python to support data processing and automation.
• Develop and maintain data models for Power BI for accurate reporting.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and usability across analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, data teams, and regional teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in data architecture and standards.
