Job summary

Remote Crew is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to own data pipelines, context systems, and multi-agent infrastructure powering real-time identity verification for banks and fintechs. You’ll productionize AI features and help set engineering standards across the team.

The role focuses on building robust ML-backed backend services, integrating LLMs, and driving MLOps practices with a strong emphasis on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as software, data, or ML engineer in product-centric settings.
• Production-level Python experience building backend services and APIs.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs in production, including handling context windows, cost, latency.
• Experience building agent harnesses or multi-agent, autonomous, agent-to-agent systems in production.
• Experience setting up evaluation and metrics for AI systems, and using them to drive real decisions.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices, containers, CI/CD, and at least one major cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Own the data pipelines that turn register data and web content into structured, audited data with strong quality checks.
• Build the context management layer that decides what your agents and LLMs see, balancing relevance, token budgets, memory, and cost.
• Build agent harnesses: the agent loop, tool calling, context assembly, guardrails, and tracing.
• Design multi-agent and autonomous agent systems, including agent-to-agent interfaces.
• Develop evaluation pipelines and production metrics for LLM and data quality.
• Harden LLM integrations in production with fallbacks, rate limiting, caching, cost tracking, and observability.
• Set up MLOps practices: CI/CD for ML components, versioning of prompts, models, and datasets, safe rollouts.
• Work closely with ML and backend engineers to turn prototypes into reliable production services.
• Define standards, processes, and tooling for AI and data practices across the team.
• Ship code frequently and iterate based on feedback while meeting strict security and uptime requirements.

At Remote Crew, we're partnering with a VC-backed compliance tech startup building an agentic platform for financial services. We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer to own the data pipelines, context systems, and multi-agent infrastructure that power real-time business identity verification for banks and fintechs. You'll take AI functionality from prototype to production, and help set the engineering standards the team builds on.

Salary:

€60k-80k / year

What You’ll Do

• Own the data pipelines that turn register data and web content into structured, audited data with strong quality checks

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a software, data, or ML engineer in product‑centric settings
• Production‑level Python experience building backend services and APIs
• Hands‑on experience integrating LLMs in production, including handling context windows, cost, latency, and non‑determinism
• Experience building agent harnesses or multi‑agent, autonomous, agent‑to‑agent systems in production
• Experience setting up evaluation and metrics for AI systems, and using them to drive real decisions
• Familiarity with MLOps practices, containers, CI/CD, and at least one major cloud platform

Nice to Have

• Experience self-hosting open‑weight models
• Advanced MLOps tooling experience: dataset versioning, safe rollout practices
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
