Job summary

Board of Innovation is seeking a Tech Lead to own the technical side of our most demanding AI builds, from scope and architecture to delivery in client environments.

You will lead architecture decisions, mentor the engineers, and work directly with the Engineering Director, with start planned for November 2026 in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal.

This senior, on-project role operates across multiple client engagements and is supported by our open to permanent or long-term contractor arrangements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years engineering experience with at least 2 hands-on builds led.
• Deep applied AI engineering with production deployments.
• Strong Python, CI/CD, testing and IaC fundamentals.
• Experience delivering in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of enterprise AI builds end-to-end.
• Own architecture decisions and defend estimates with clients.
• Mentor engineers and grow the project team.
• Ensure production-grade, secure deployments in client environments.
• Collaborate with strategists, designers and consultants.
