AdvanceWorks in Lisbon is seeking a Senior AI Engineer / AI Architect to driveAI initiatives across diverse industries. You will research, design and deploy AI-native architectures and LLM-based solutions, collaborating with data, software and business stakeholders.

You will shape production-ready AI platforms, agents and services, balancing security, governance, and cloud-native deployments across Azure, AWS and GCP.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, AI/ML Engineering, Data Science or related roles.
• Strong Python experience and familiarity with modern AI/ML frameworks and tooling.
• Experience working with LLMs, Generative AI, RAG, AI agents or other AI-native approaches.
• Experience designing or contributing to scalable software and/or AI architectures.
• Ability to work with data and understand the requirements of AI/ML datasets, evaluation and experimentation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to different audiences.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Designing, developing and integrating AI/ML solutions into production environments.
• Working with NLP, Machine Learning, text representation, classification, clustering and neural network approaches.
• Experimenting with different models, datasets and techniques, evaluating results and iterating towards effective solutions.
• Translating AI/ML prototypes and experiments into robust, maintainable and production-ready software.
• Designing AI-native architectures involving LLMs, RAG, AI agents and intelligent services.
• Defining architectural patterns for integrating AI capabilities with existing applications, platforms, APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Designing how AI agents and components communicate, interact with data and integrate with enterprise systems.
• Contributing to security, privacy, governance and compliance decisions across AI solutions.
• Considering key production concerns such as scalability, performance, observability, reliability, cost and vendor dependency.
• Working with cloud-based AI/ML workloads across environments such as Azure, AWS and GCP.
