AgileEngine, LLC. in Coimbra, Portugal, is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design agentic workflows and AI-powered applications for enterprise products. You will lead multi-agent collaboration, tool usage, and memory management while enabling production-ready, secure systems.

You will mentor engineers and help drive an agentic-first technical strategy across the organization, ensuring reliable, scalable solutions with strong governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a software product development environment.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot proficiency.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Hands-on work building AI agents and orchestrated workflows.
• Experience with multi-agent systems, RAG, vector search, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Experience deploying production software, security and observability.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, RESTful APIs, and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic workflows coordinating tools, data, and human approvals.
• Develop reusable patterns for agent orchestration and memory management.
• Use agentic coding tools across planning, implementation, testing, and review.
• Integrate agents into development, testing, deployment, and support workflows.
• Establish standards for evaluation, observability, security, and governance.
• Prototype new agentic capabilities and turn experiments into production.
• Mentor engineers and shape an agentic-first strategy across the org.
• Collaborate with leaders to connect agent capabilities to outcomes.
