Aptia Group Portugal SA in Lisbon is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our pensions consulting team. This role offers exposure to a wide range of pension schemes, high-quality actuarial work, and mentoring junior colleagues, with a path to client-facing consulting or technical specialization.

For the first 3 months, the role will be office based, with the option to work hybrid thereafter, and you will partner with an experienced actuarial team and consultants to deliver high-quality

Qualificações

• Part-qualified actuarial status through the IFoA or an equivalent actuarial qualification.
• Experience in pensions consulting, pensions administration or related actuarial environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• A proactive mindset and genuine enthusiasm for learning and professional growth.

Responsabilidades

• Complete and review triennial actuarial valuations and annual funding updates.
• Support pension scheme accounting disclosures and funding exercises.
• Review transfer value calculations and prepare actuarial reports and advice.
• Support pension scheme de-risking and buyout projects.
• Contribute to GMP equalisation projects and wider industry initiatives.
• Work closely with consultants and client managers to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
• Review work completed by junior colleagues and support their development.
• Contributing to process improvements, technical discussions and knowledge-sharing across the team.

As our Lisbon team continues to grow, we're looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Lisbon Pensions Consulting business. This is an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified actuary with pensions experience who is looking to expand their technical expertise, gain greater client exposure and work alongside a highly experienced actuarial team.

The opportunity

As a key member of our actuarial team, you will support consultants and clients across a wide range of pension schemes, helping deliver high-quality actuarial advice and services. You'll be involved in complex technical work, client projects and mentoring junior colleagues, while continuing your own professional development. This role offers excellent exposure to a broad range of pension consulting activities and a clear path for development, whether your ambition is to become a client-facing consultant or a technical specialist. What you'll be doing

• Completing and reviewing triennial actuarial valuations and annual funding updates.
