Aptia Group in Lisbon is looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Lisbon Pensions Consulting business. You will support consultants and clients across a wide range of pension schemes, delivering high‑quality actuarial advice and services.

This role offers exposure to complex technical work, mentoring junior colleagues, and a clear path for development as you progress toward client‑facing consulting or technical specialist roles.

Qualificações

• Part-qualified actuarial status through the IFoA or equivalent.
• Experience in pensions consulting or related actuarial environment.

Responsabilidades

• Complete and review triennial actuarial valuations and annual funding updates.

• Contribute to GMP equalisation projects and industry initiatives.
• Work closely with consultants and client managers to deliver outcomes.
• Review work by junior colleagues and support their development.
• Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing.

Job requirements

As our Lisbon team continues to grow, we’re looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our LisbonPensions Consulting business. This is an exciting opportunity for a part‑qualified actuary with pensions experience who is looking to expand their technical expertise, gain greater client exposure and work alongside a highly experienced actuarial team.

The opportunity

As a key member of our actuarial team, you will support consultants and clients across a wide range of pension schemes, helping deliver high‑quality actuarial advice and services. You’ll be involved in complex technical work, client projects and mentoring junior colleagues, while continuing your own professional development.

This role offers excellent exposure to a broad range of pension consulting activities and a clear path for development, whether your ambition is to become a client‑facing consultant or a technical specialist.

For the first 3 months, the role will be office based, with the opportunity to work hybrid thereafter.

What you’ll be doing

• Completing and reviewing triennial actuarial valuations and annual funding updates.
• Supporting pension scheme accounting disclosures and funding exercises.
• Reviewing transfer value calculations and preparing actuarial reports and advice.
• Supporting pension scheme de‑risking and buyout projects.
• Contributing to GMP equalisation projects and wider industry initiatives.
• Working closely with consultants and client managers to deliver high‑quality client outcomes.
• Reviewing work completed by junior colleagues and supporting their development.
• Contributing to process improvements, technical discussions and knowledge‑sharing across the team.

About you

We’re keen to hear from candidates who can bring:
