The Sr. Active Directory Engineer provides support and implementation services for Microsoft Active Directory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including directory and identity management solutions. Core technology duties also include creation and management, global system security and policy configuration, top-level support for enterprise-wide initiatives, and assisting in RCA (Root Cause Analysis). This role requires an in-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS), Windows Server, Windows security, AD Proxy, Azure AD/Entra ID, and related technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory and third‑party utilities supporting Active Directory within company operational guidelines
• Represent enterprise‑level Active Directory for global initiatives and follow the initiatives through to implementation via collaboration with project and support teams.
• Identify opportunities to innovate, extend, and enhance service delivery where possible.
• Own root‑cause analysis and problem management for enterprise Active Directory landscape.
• Serve as an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provide guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production‑, application‑ and system‑related problems.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
• Follow the change‑management process for any improvement or implementation change requests.
• Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
• Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions and documentation
• Provide training as required.
• Participate in post‑implementation review.
• Participate on department project teams and forums.

Candidate’s Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) - Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Microsoft and Azure certifications are a plus
