Yazaki Europe Middle East and Africa in Ovar, Portugal, seeks a Senior Active Directory Engineer to design, implement and support AD, AD FS, Entra ID and related Windows infrastructure across the enterprise.

You will lead incident resolution, implement security policies, manage domain services, and collaborate with global teams. The role requires 10+ years in AD/IT infrastructure and relevant certifications; bachelor's degree.

• Microsoft and Azure certifications are a plus.
• 10+ years in IT in an enterprise Active Directory infrastructure environment.
• 10+ years in a global IT infrastructure environment.
• 10+ years in Active Directory, Entra ID, M365, Windows Server, and Microsoft Suite.

Responsabilidades

• Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory and related tools.
• Represent enterprise AD for global initiatives and drive implementation with cross-team collaboration.
• Own root-cause analysis and problem management for the Active Directory landscape.
• Provide training and support, assist in RCA, and improve service delivery.
• Monitor systems, verify availability, and ensure change management processes are followed.

The Sr. Active Directory Engineer provides support and implementation services for Microsoft Active Directory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including directory and identity management solutions. Core technology duties also include creation and management, global system security and policy configuration, top-level support for enterprise-wide initiatives, and assisting in RCA (Root Cause Analysis).This role requires an in-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS), Windows Server, Windows security, AD Proxy, Azure AD/Entra ID, and related technologies.

Responsibilities

Active Directory

• Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory and third-party utilities supporting Active Directory within company operational guidelines
• Represent enterprise-level Active Directory for global initiatives and follow the initiatives through to implementation via collaboration with project and support teams.
• Identify opportunities to innovate, extend, and enhance service delivery where possible.
• Own root cause analysis and problem management for enterprise Active Directory landscape.
• Serve as an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provide guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production-, application- and system-related problems.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
• Follow the change management process for any improvement or implementation change requests.
• Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
• Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions and documentation
• Provide training as required.
• Participate in post-implementation review.
• Participate on department project teams and forums.

Candidate’s Profile:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) - Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Microsoft and Azure certifications are a plus.
• Experience: More than 10 years in IT work in an enterprise Active Directory infrastructure environment.
• Experience: More than 10 years in IT work in a global information technology infrastructure environment.
• Experience: More than 10 years in Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, M365, Windows Server, and Microsoft Suite.

Professional skills:

• Administering Active Directory and GPOs.
• Knowledge of AD and ADFS in Windows Servers.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and DFS in a Windows landscape.
• Knowledge of Entra ID.
