Yazaki Europe Middle East and Africa in Portugal seeks a Senior Active Directory Engineer at the Ovar plant. You will manage AD, AD FS, Azure AD/Entra ID, and Windows Server environments across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 10+ years in IT with enterprise Active Directory infrastructure experience.
• 10+ years in global IT infrastructure environments.
• 10+ years with Microsoft AD, Entra ID, M365, Windows Server and Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory and related tools.
• Represent AD for global initiatives and drive implementations with teams.
• Own root cause analysis and problem management for AD landscapes.
• Provide guidance, troubleshooting, and escalation handling for complex problems.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Active Directory Engineer in our plant in Ovar.

The Sr. Active Directory Engineer provides support and implementation services for Microsoft Active Directory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including directory and identity management solutions. Core technology duties also include creation and management, global system security and policy configuration, top-level support for enterprise-wide initiatives, and assisting in RCA (Root Cause Analysis).This role requires an in-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS), Windows Server, Windows security, AD Proxy, Azure AD/Entra ID, and related technologies.

Responsibilities

Active Directory

• Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory and third-party utilities supporting Active Directory within company operational guidelines
• Represent enterprise-level Active Directory for global initiatives and follow the initiatives through to implementation via collaboration with project and support teams.
• Identify opportunities to innovate, extend, and enhance service delivery where possible.
• Own root cause analysis and problem management for enterprise Active Directory landscape.
• Serve as an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provide guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production-, application- and system-related problems.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
• Follow the change management process for any improvement or implementation change requests.
• Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
• Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions and documentation
• Provide training as required.
• Participate in post-implementation review.
• Participate on department project teams and forums.

Candidate’s Profile:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) - Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Microsoft and Azure certifications are a plus.
• Experience: More than 10 years in IT work in an enterprise Active Directory infrastructure environment.
• Experience: More than 10 years in IT work in a global information technology infrastructure environment.
• Experience: More than 10 years in Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, M365, Windows Server, and Microsoft Suite.

Professional skills:

• Administering Active Directory and GPOs.
• Knowledge of AD and ADFS in Windows Servers.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and DFS in a Windows landscape.
• Knowledge of Entra ID.
