Job summary

Scandinavian Tobacco Group Tobacco Service B.V. in Lisbon, Portugal, invites a Senior Accountant to join the Record to Report (R2R) Finance team.

You will lead month-end close, post journal entries, reconcile balances, and ensure IFRS compliance across multiple European entities while collaborating with Finance, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and local teams. The position offers hybrid work arrangements and a permanent contract with a base salary range highlighted for the level and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics.
• 5-10+ years of experience in Accounting, General Ledger, Record to Report, or Financial Reporting roles.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial controls, ERP systems such as SAP, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities for European entities with accurate reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, and other adjustments ensuring IFRS and local GAAP compliance.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve issues to support reporting accuracy and control.
