Pessoas e Sistemas in Porto area is recruiting an Accountant (m/f/d) for a client in Vila Nova de Gaia. You will oversee general ledger activities, month-end close, and payroll, ensuring accurate filings and timely reporting.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in accounting, strong English skills, Excel proficiency, and familiarity with IFRS and internal controls. The role offers hybrid work setup and opportunities to collaborate with audit teams.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Management is required.
• 5+ years accounting/finance experience is required.
• CPA/ACCA qualification is a plus.
• Excellent English skills, both written and verbal are required.
• Excel proficiency is a must.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee general ledger activities and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial results monthly and report variances to budget/forecast.
• Support internal controls and process improvements; assist with SOX documentation.
• Coordinate with internal and external audit teams and prepare supporting docs.
• Assist with quarterly reports and ERP data corrections.
• Prepare VAT returns and corporate tax accruals and filings.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll processes and maintain payroll records.
