Adecco Recruitment in Porto is seeking an Accountant fluent in English to join a multinational client’s finance team. You will manage invoicing and collections, prepare VAT and tax returns, and support month-end closing in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a similar role, strong Excel skills, experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), and a detail‑oriented, proactive mindset.

Qualificações

• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
• 2 years of experience in a similar role (collections, invoicing, accounts receivable or finance operations).
• Strong command of Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Analytical thinking with attention to detail and proactive mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Tax obligations: Prepare and file VAT, IRC, IRS, and Social Security returns.
• Payroll processing: Calculate salaries, allowances, withholding taxes, and issue pay stubs.
• Bank reconciliation: Reconcile bank balances with accounting records.
• Financial closing: Prepare balance sheet, income statement, and monthly/annual reports.
• Maintain communication with internal stakeholders and external clients to resolve issues and drive efficient collections.

Key Responsibilities

• Tax obligations Prepare and file VAT, corporate income tax (IRC), personal income tax (IRS), and Social Security returns.
• Payroll processing Calculate salaries, allowances, and withholding taxes, and issue pay stubs.
• Bank reconciliation Compare bank account balances with the companys accounting records.
• Financial closing Prepare the balance sheet, income statement, and monthly or annual financial reports.
• Maintain regular and professional communication with internal stakeholders and external clients to resolve financial issues and ensure an efficient collection process.

• Fluency in English (spoken and written mandatory);
