The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field, CPA preferred, with at least 5 years in accounting, strong GAAP/tax knowledge, and proficiency in QuickBooks or Sage.

We are hiring a Senior Accountant to join our reputable accounting firm located in the beautiful coastal city of Almada As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all financial operations of our clients ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes
• Monitor cash flow and manage accounts payablereceivable
• Conduct audits and ensure compliance with tax laws
• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures
• Provide guidance on financial decisions to clients
• Train and mentor junior accountants

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
• Certified Public Accountant CPA preferred
• Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting preferably in a senior role
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP principles and tax laws
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
