The SOC engineer role sits in our Nearshore Security Operations team, working remotely for international clients in the Netherlands, Germany and other countries.

You will monitor security alerts, differentiate real threats from false positives, and escalate incidents promptly while maintaining clear documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and analyse incoming security alerts from security tooling such as EDR, NDR, and SIEM platforms;
• Distinguish false positives from genuine security threats and prioritise incidents accordingly;
• Perform basic alert enrichment to gather additional technical context and improve incident quality;
• Document findings in a clear, structured, and consistent manner;
• Escalate relevant security incidents to senior analysts and incident response teams;
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to improve security posture and identify potential improvements;
• Support services related to endpoint detection, network detection, zero trust access, vulnerability management, compliance, and security reporting.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Security Engineer (SOC) to join our Nearshore Security Operations team working remotely for international clients accross The Netherlands, Germany and other European countries.

In this role, you will be part of the first line of defence, monitoring security alerts, identifying real threats, and ensuring that security incidents are escalated quickly, accurately, and clearly.

What you will do

• Monitor and analyse incoming security alerts from security tooling such as EDR, NDR, and SIEM platforms;
• Distinguish false positives from genuine security threats and prioritise incidents accordingly;
• Perform basic alert enrichment to gather additional technical context and improve incident quality;
• Document findings in a clear, structured, and consistent manner;
• Escalate relevant security incidents to senior analysts and incident response teams;
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to improve security posture and identify potential improvements;
• Support services related to endpoint detection, network detection, zero trust access, vulnerability management, compliance, and security reporting.

What you are like

• Proficient with security tools such as EDR, NDR, and/or SIEM solutions;
• Familiar with security operations concepts including alerts, logs, incidents, and escalation flows;
• Comfortable working in a SOC or similar operational security environment;
• Knowledgeable in IT fundamentals such as networking, operating systems, and infrastructure;
• Able to perform basic scripting or automation using languages such as Python or Bash;
• Detail-oriented and structured, with a strong focus on accuracy and documentation quality;
• Motivated to learn and grow in a hands-on cybersecurity environment;
• Clear communicator, able to document findings and collaborate effectively in English.
