Inetum Portugal is seeking a Deputy Regional Network Engineer to join our global Digital Technology Infrastructure team. You will manage regional LAN, WLAN, WAN and security environments, ensuring service delivery and SLA compliance across data centers and cloud contexts.

The role requires 5+ years in network and telecom infrastructure, strong stakeholder management, and experience in global, mission-critical environments with Cisco, Palo Alto and Fluke Networks technologies.

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Deputy Regional Network Engineer to join a large-scale international project within a leading industrial client.

Project Context

You will join the Digital Technology Infrastructure team, responsible for managing a global network landscape that includes:

• 5 Data Centers
• Cloud environments
• Network and security infrastructures (LAN, WLAN, WAN, SD-WAN, SSE, Firewalls, etc.)

You will be part of a Network Operations Center (NOC) ensuring global network and security service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage regional LAN, WLAN, WAN, and Security environments
• Ensure service delivery and SLA compliance
• Act as a technical reference within the regional NOC
• Manage:
  • Asset inventory
  • Lifecycle (upgrades, modernization)
• Maintain and produce technical documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (industrial projects, plant evolution, etc.)
• Support and coordinate deployment and build activities in your region

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in network and telecom infrastructure (industrial environments preferred)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in global and mission-critical environments
• Technologies:
  • Cisco (Catalyst, WLAN, ISE) – advanced level (certification is a plus)
  • Palo Alto (NGFW, Prisma, SD-WAN) – solid experience
  • Network testing tools (e.g., Fluke Networks)
