Inetum Portugal is seeking a TX (Transmission) & IP Network Technician to join a telecommunications team, focusing on installation, testing and maintenance of critical infrastructure in Lisbon. This role offers growth in a dynamic, service-oriented environment and exposure to diverse TX/IP technologies.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of IP network experience, knowledge of TX technologies (SDH/WDM), and familiarity with ALU equipment, plus strong MS Office skills and a willingness to learn

Qualificações

• 2 to 4 years of professional experience in IP networks and telecommunications.
• Knowledge of Routing and Switching equipment (ALU preferred).
• Experience with TX technologies such as SDH and WDM.
• Willingness to learn about submarine cables.
• Good command of MS Office tools.
• Experience in testing, measurements, and circuit activation (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Perform site survey activities, support installation and acceptance of equipment in TX and IP network environments.
• Conduct tests, trials and measurements on TX and IP systems and equipment.
• Execute circuit interconnections and activation testing, ensuring proper solution performance.
• Support identification and diagnosis of network and system faults.
• Collaborate in troubleshooting with Supervisory teams to ensure SLA compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of technical processes and procedures.

Job Description

We are looking for a TX (Transmission) & IP Network Technician to join a telecommunications team, focusing on the installation, testing, and maintenance of critical infrastructure. This role is ideal for professionals with relevant experience who are looking to strengthen their technical skills in a dynamic, service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform site survey activities, support installation, and acceptance of equipment in TX and IP network environments
• Conduct tests, trials, and measurements on TX and IP systems and equipment
• Execute circuit interconnections and activation testing, ensuring proper solution performance
• Support the identification and diagnosis of network and system faults
• Collaborate in troubleshooting and fault resolution with Supervisory teams, ensuring SLA compliance
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical processes and procedures

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of professional experience in IP networks and telecommunications, in similar roles
• Knowledge of Routing and Switching equipment (preferably ALU)
• Experience with transmission (TX) technologies such as SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) and WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing)
• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn about submarine cables (nice to have)
• Good command of MS Office tools
• Experience in testing, measurements, and circuit activation (preferred)
