BorgWarner in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, is seeking a Team Leader for our new production plant. You will coordinate team activities, train staff on safety and quality processes, and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, cost and delivery metrics.

Ideal candidates bring secondary education or engineering background with 2+ years in a similar role, plus knowledge of lean and quality tools, and fluent Portuguese with English skills.

Qualificações

• Secondary education, preferably with technical/professional training, or a degree in engineering or related field.
• +2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of quality tools and automotive industry standards.
• Fluent in Portuguese; knowledge of English.
• Problem solving approaches: 5W, Ishikawa, PDCA, 8D.
• Lean manufacturing tools knowledge preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate team activities, assign tasks and production objectives.
• Train new members on safety rules, 5S, and assembly/inspection processes.
• Respond to production orders in line with smoothing and levelling.
• Facilitate continuous improvement focusing on safety, quality, cost and delivery.
• Lead daily meetings and ensure clear communication between shifts.
