BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems in Portugal is seeking a dynamic Production Team Leader to join our new plant in Viana do Castelo. You will coordinate team activities, train operators, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivity.

Ideal candidates hold technical education, experience in manufacturing, knowledge of lean tools, and fluent English/Portuguese. The role requires shift coverage including weekends with a focus on OEE and PPAP readiness.

Qualificações

• Secondary education or engineering degree or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar leadership role is valued.
• Knowledge of quality tools and automotive standards.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge is preferred.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Shift availability including weekend coverage.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate team activities and assign production tasks.
• Train new team members on safety, 5S, and processes.
• Lead certification processes for operators and teams.
• Respond to production orders ensuring smooth fulfillment.
• Drive continuous improvement focusing on safety, quality, cost, delivery.
• Lead problem solving (8D, 6M, 5 Whys) for issues.
• Hold daily meetings and communicate across shifts.
• Support and implement production tools like JIT and Kanban.
• Ensure adherence to control plans with daily audits.
• Manufacture parts meeting quality and productivity standards.
