BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is seeking a dynamic Production Team Leader for its new plant in Viana, Portugal. The role requires coordinating team activities, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity, and driving improvement across daily operations.

You will mentor operators, manage training, participate in PPAP readiness, and align with Lean practices to meet production targets and customer expectations.

Qualificações

• Secondary education or engineering degree preferred.
• Experience in a similar role is valued.
• Problem solving using 5W, Ishikawa, PDCA, 8D preferred.
• Knowledge of quality tools is beneficial.
• Knowledge of automotive industry standards is advantageous.
• Lean manufacturing tools knowledge is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate team activities and set production objectives.
• Train new members on safety, 5S, and assembly processes.
• Lead certifications for operators and teams.
• Respond to production orders and ensure smoothing/leveling.
• Drive continuous improvements focusing on safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Lead daily meetings and communicate across shifts on performance indicators.
