Job summary

R.D. Offutt Farms is seeking a Seasonal Piler Operator to drive a skid steer and build a safe, level potato pile during harvest. You’ll work in a team, follow directions, and help maintain equipment and facilities.

This part-time role requires reliable transport and outdoor work, with overtime during peak season. Responsibilities include operating the skid steer, ensuring a precise drop height, performing basic maintenance, and adhering to safety rules.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive a skid steer to form a flat potato pile.
• Maintain a level pile with limited drop for potatoes.

• Uphold professional conduct when interacting with customers.

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of R.D Offutt Farms Seasonal Piler Operator is to drive and run a skid steer operator in a safe and efficient manner while contributing to the pace of the harvest line. This individual works well in a team environment.

Job Duties:

• Maintain a flat and level potato pile while running a skid steer operator
• Must maintain less than an eight-inch drop for potatoes
• Perform preventative maintenance and light repairs on equipment
• Follow tasks and directions given by crew leader
• Communicate effectively with management and other team members
• Assist in the maintenance of buildings and equipment ensuring they are in appropriate condition
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook
• Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of R.D. Offutt Farms
• Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
