Xelerate is seeking an SAP Solution Architect Transportation Management to act as the design authority for SAP S/4HANA TM within a global chemicals distribution leader. You will design end-to-end transportation solutions, align with enterprise architecture, and guide multi-domain delivery with partners.

The role requires 5–10 years of SAP consulting and a proven track record in S/4HANA TM, integration with EWM, SD, Finance, and procurement, plus excellent stakeholder management and English

You have the opportunity to join our team and tackle business challenges in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment characterized by close collaboration with business stakeholders.

As an SAP Solution Architect Transportation Management, you will act as the design authority for SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (TM) for a global market leader in chemical and ingredients distribution, operating across dozens of countries and serving hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide. You will make sure that individual functional and technical designs come together as one coherent, end-to-end transportation solution.

Working within an ongoing SAP S/4HANA implementation, you will collaborate with Enterprise Architects, project teams, business stakeholders, specialists, and implementation partners to keep designs aligned with enterprise architecture standards and SAP Clean Core principles. Your scope covers transportation planning and execution with SAP S/4HANA Advanced Transportation Management and its integration with Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Finance, Procurement, and surrounding applications.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• Design Authority: Act as the design authority for SAP Transportation Management throughout the SAP S/4HANA implementation. Validate functional and technical designs against the agreed architecture, SAP standards, and Clean Core principles.
• Cross-Domain Solution Leadership: Lead complex solution topics involving multiple SAP domains, integrations, data, or surrounding applications, in particular the touchpoints between transportation, warehouse, sales, finance, and procurement processes. Resolve cross-domain design issues and drive clear architecture decisions.
• Impact & Risk Assessment: Assess dependencies, constraints, risks, and end-to-end impacts of proposed designs. Evaluate design alternatives and communicate their implications clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
• Delivery Guidance: Guide functional and technical teams and implementation partners during implementation, testing, and deployment, ensuring that what is built matches the agreed design.
• Architecture Documentation: Maintain key solution designs, architecture diagrams, and architecture decision records, using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SAP Cloud ALM for traceability.
• Architecture Governance: Facilitate architecture reviews and evolve decisions affecting enterprise standards or target architectures.

Your Skills and Experiences:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, business information systems, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in SAP consulting, project delivery, functional architecture, or solution architecture.
• Proven delivery experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation, transformation, or rollout programs in the Transportation Management domain.
• Substantial implementation experience with SAP S/4HANA Advanced Transportation Management, including Load & Package Builder and its role in transportation planning and execution.
• Strong understanding of transportation business processes and of TM integration points and dependencies with EWM, Sales and Distribution, Finance, Procurement, and surrounding applications.
• Demonstrated ability to validate functional and technical designs and to lead complex, cross-domain solution topics.
• Experience applying SAP Clean Core and fit-to-standard principles.
• Experience with SAP Fiori applications for transportation management processes.
• Experience creating solution designs, architecture diagrams, and architecture decision records, and using Jira, Confluence, and/or SAP Cloud ALM for traceability and solution documentation.
• Experience working with implementation partners and system integrators; a consulting or systems-integration background is preferred.
• Experience with last-mile delivery or proof-of-delivery solutions is an advantage.
• Relevant SAP S/4HANA certification is an advantage.
• Experience in chemical distribution or a comparable process industry is a plus.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills, with the ability to challenge proposed designs constructively, influence decisions without direct authority, and collaborate across countries, functions, and time zones.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for project workshops and key delivery activities.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential; German is a plus.
