ITDS is seeking a Senior SAN Storage Administrator in Lisbon to lead NAS and SAN storage initiatives. You will ensure high availability, performance, and security for critical infrastructure, shaping storage technology in a dynamic environment.

You will monitor NAS/SAN environments, implement SMB storage and Windows AD integrations, and automate storage tasks with Bash, Python, and Ansible. Hybrid work setup in Lisbon with collaboration across Infrastructure teams.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Senior Storage Administrator role.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of NAS storage: NetApp, Dell Isilon, Hitachi VSP.
• Hands-on experience with SMB Windows shares, DFS, and Active Directory.
• Strong knowledge of NFS, iSCSI, NVMe.
• Scripting in Shell, Python and Ansible.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willing to work in Lisbon with hybrid model.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and optimize SMB storage and Windows AD integrations.
• Provide provisioning of SAN disks and configure storage for performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, Perl, and Ansible.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure teams (backup, network, security, servers).
• Diagnose and resolve complex SAN issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain documentation and participate in cross-team projects.

As a Senior SAN Storage Administrator, you will be working for our client, a leading player in data storage solutions. You will help build and manage next-generation NAS and SAN storage systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security to support the organization’s critical infrastructure. This role offers a unique chance to shape the evolution of storage technology in a dynamic environment.

Your main responsibilities:

• Assist in monitoring and managing NAS and SMB Storage Systems, including expertise in NFS storage systems.
• Manage SAN environments with a focus on Netapp, DELL PowerScale, and HITACHI VSP storage platforms.
• Implement and optimize SMB storage systems and Windows Active Directory integrations.
• Provision SAN disks and configure storage systems with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain scripts using Bash, KSH, Python, Perl, and Ansible to automate storage management tasks.
• Collaborate closely with the Infrastructure team, including backup, network, security, and server teams.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues within SAN environments, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Maintain documentation and participate in cross-team technology projects.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Senior Storage Administrator role.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Perfect knowledge of NAS storage systems: Netapp, DELL Isilon, HITACHI VSP.
• Hands-on experience with SMB Windows shares, DFS, and Windows Active Directory.
• Strong understanding of NFS, iSCSI, NVMe protocols.
• Scripting skills in Shell, Python, and Ansible.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex SAN issues.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with teams and train users.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Knowledge of IBM GPFS.
• Experience with IBM Power systems (AIX, Linux on Power) and virtualized servers (VMware).
• Knowledge of ITIL processes for incident and change management.
