Job summary

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is hiring a Salesforce Developer to join a cross-functional engineering team in Portugal, designing, developing and deploying Salesforce solutions within a complex enterprise environment.

The role focuses on Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and integrations, with exposure to Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, security models, and deployment automation. Remote in Portugal with occasional on-site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related field.
• 6 to 8 years of professional experience with 4 to 8 years Salesforce development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, Triggers, and Batch Apex.
• Proven experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Understanding of Salesforce security model (profiles, roles, permission sets, sharing rules).
• Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems via REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and release management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy Salesforce solutions using Apex, LWC, and Visualforce.
• Customize Salesforce applications to meet business requirements.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
• Create and optimize custom objects, workflows, validation rules, reports and dashboards.
• Troubleshoot production issues to ensure platform stability and performance.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Participate in solution design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Perform code reviews and ensure Salesforce development best practices.
• Support deployment and release management across environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and development standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and Agile ceremonies.

Build and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions for one of Europe's leading telecommunications operators, working within the world's largest IT services and consulting company on a long-term programme in Portugal.

• Permanent contract directly with the consultancy

We are hiring a Salesforce Developer to join a cross-functional engineering team, designing, developing and deploying Salesforce solutions in a complex enterprise environment with multiple clouds and integrations.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design, develop, test and deploy Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Visualforce
• Customise Salesforce applications and features to meet business requirements
• Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs
• Create and optimise custom objects, workflows, validation rules, reports and dashboards
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues ensuring platform stability and performance
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects and stakeholders to gather, analyse and refine requirements
• Participate in solution design discussions and contribute to technical architecture decisions
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to Salesforce development best practices
• Support deployment and release management activities across multiple environments
• Create and maintain technical documentation and development standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in Agile ceremonies

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related field
• 6 to 8 years of professional experience, with 4 to 8 years of hands‑on Salesforce development
• Strong experience in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, Triggers and Batch Apex
• Proven experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
• Solid understanding of the Salesforce security model including profiles, roles, permission sets and sharing rules
• Experience designing and implementing integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware platforms
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and release management

Nice to Have

• Salesforce certifications including Platform Developer I/II, Administrator or App Builder
• Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud
• Knowledge of MuleSoft or other integration platforms
• Experience with Salesforce DevOps Center and automated deployment tools
• Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS)
• Experience with large-scale enterprise Salesforce implementations
