Job summary

INESC TEC is offering a Research Grant in Energy to join CPES, focusing on real-time optimization, digital twins, and data-driven validation. The role involves developing optimization algorithms, testing them with operational data, and preparing technical reports and scientific articles.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field, with Python experience and strong knowledge of optimization, modelling, or simulation, plus fluency in English and Portuguese.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in electrical engineering or similar field.
• Experience with Python and data analysis.
• Knowledge of optimization algorithms, modelling or simulation.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese, spoken and written.
• Experience with applied optimization.
• Knowledge of digital twins.

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time optimization algorithms.
• Support the development of digital twins.
• Test the algorithms using operational data.
• Prepare a technical report and a scientific article.
