Job summary

Lifted (an Upwork Company) is seeking experienced Structural Engineers to design AI training tasks rooted in structural engineering principles. You will craft problem statements, reference solutions, and deterministic scoring criteria while building tasks in OpenSees and related methods.

The role focuses on evaluating AI-generated solutions with technical rigor and clear feedback. This is a fully remote, project-based opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; master's/PhD preferred.
• Professional experience in structural analysis and design.
• Hands-on experience using OpenSees.
• Knowledge of ACI 318, AISC 360, or Eurocode.
• Experience with nonlinear modeling and pushover/ response spectrum analysis.
• Ability to write clear, detailed engineering documentation.
• Excellent written English communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.

Responsibilities

• Design AI training tasks based on structural engineering concepts.
• Create problem statements and reference solutions.
• Develop tasks using OpenSees and other methods.
• Create evaluation scenarios (pushover, seismic, FEA, RC, steel).
• Review AI solutions for accuracy and code compliance.
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI performance.
• Work independently in a fully remote, flexible environment.
