Zyte is transforming its API stack into an automated software factory, owning core infrastructure powering global web data pipelines. As a Staff Engineer, you will lead the control and context planes, manage multi‑language client libraries, and shape platform reliability across several squads.

You will influence design, metrics, and release velocity in a scalable, remote‑friendly environment. You bring 10+ years of distributed backend experience, strong Java and Python skills, and deep expertise

Qualificações

• 10+ years building scalable distributed backend systems.
• Expertise in Java (reactive frameworks) and Python.
• Deep experience with gRPC and Protobuf, including schema evolution.
• Hands‑on Kubernetes, Terraform, and Kafka at scale.
• Strong technical leadership and ability to align teams.

Responsabilidades

• Architect the control and context planes for Zyte API.
• Own service chassis, client libraries, and deployment pipelines across squads.
• Define inter-service contracts and versioning policies for safe deployments.
• Operate the platform substrate with Kubernetes across multiple clouds and data centers.
• Lead architectural discussions through RFDs and drive durable workflow platforms.
• Mentor engineers, review proposals, and elevate engineering standards.
