Zyte in Lisbon, Portugal, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our unified Quality Engineering function. The role focuses on automation-first, AI-native testing embedded within engineering squads, leveraging Claude Code or similar AI tools to generate, review, and maintain automation code.

You will design risk-based test strategies, rapidly convert them into automated checks, and continuously improve delivery quality, speed, and reliability across the software lifecycle.

Qualificações

• Strong software engineering fundamentals across modern languages
• Proven experience with Playwright or similar test automation frameworks
• Proficiency using AI-assisted development environments for test automation
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions

Responsabilidades

• Design risk-based test strategies for new features and releases
• Convert strategies into automated coverage using AI-assisted workflows
• Build and maintain automated test suites with Playwright in CI/CD
• Develop agentic testing workflows using AI models and APIs
• Create reusable automation components and shared libraries for teams
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers to shift quality left
• Improve test suite health by reducing flakiness and increasing speed
• Measure quality with metrics like coverage growth and defect escape rates
• Enable developers to write and run automated tests in daily workflows
