Job summary

Datacareers seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Platform team on a fully remote basis within Portugal. You will design, build, automate and secure AWS-based cloud infrastructure, focusing on a multi-region platform and scalable, observable systems.

You will collaborate with architects, software engineers, security and leadership to improve reliability, automation and operational excellence, using Terraform, Kubernetes and modern CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on AWS experience in production environments.
• Strong Terraform / IaC experience for cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerised workloads.
• Proficient in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Scripting or automation in Python or Bash.
• Good understanding of AWS networking, IAM, security and cloud architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Lead and support multi-region AWS platform delivery.
• Document findings and propose improvements to existing infra.
• Prioritise infrastructure work across a large project pipeline.
• Build highly available, secure, and fault-tolerant environments.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
