SearchApi in Portugal is looking for a Ruby Engineer to enhance its real-time SERP API. The role involves responsibilities like fixing broken parsers, improving browser automation, and integrating new search engines. You will work closely with a small team, tackling technical challenges and interacting directly with customers.

Ideal candidates have a strong work ethic and deep knowledge in browser automation, concurrency, and anti-bot strategies, with the opportunity to make a real impact in a bootstrapped, profitable startup.

Qualificações

• Passionate about Ruby & Ruby on Rails.
• Strong knowledge of web fundamentals: HTTP, TLS, CSS selectors, XPath.
• Experience with browser automation and data extraction.

Responsabilidades

• Fix broken parsers under time pressure.
• Add new elements to existing search engines.
• Debug browser automation issues.
