Block Labs is seeking a Data Platform Engineer in Portugal to design and maintain scalable data pipelines. You will be part of a team engineering a new data platform to drive real-time decisioning and predictive modelling.

Your role involves building the commercial nervous system of this platform, optimizing query performance, and implementing data contracts. Ideal candidates will have strong skills in SQL, Apache Kafka, and data modelling discipline.

Fully remote with a low-ego culture, Block Labs values pace without chaos.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of experience with production data pipelines.
• Experience with streaming and batch data processing.
• Ability to design multi-tenant schemas with tenant isolation.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Engineer the ClickHouse warehouse for performance.
• Implement data contracts for onboarding new operators.

Building and operating production data pipelines

Expertise in Apache Kafka

Strong SQL skills

PySpark / Spark Streaming proficiency
