Block Labs is seeking a Data Platform Engineer in Lisbon, Portugal to design and build scalable data pipelines that support advanced intelligence products. You will own the end-to-end real-time data pipeline, ensuring reliability and performance for various systems.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in production data pipelines, strong SQL skills, and expertise in Apache Kafka and ClickHouse. We offer a fully remote work model with a mission-driven culture.

Qualificações

• 3+ years building and operating production data pipelines at scale.
• Hands-on experience with both streaming and batch paradigms.
• Expertise in designing normalised, multi-tenant schemas.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Engineer and optimise the ClickHouse warehouse.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and maintenance procedures.

Conhecimentos

Building and operating production data pipelines

Expertise in Apache Kafka

Strong SQL and warehouse engineering skills

PySpark / Spark Streaming proficiency

Data modelling discipline

CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code experience

Data quality and observability mindset
