Job summary

payabl is seeking a QA Engineer to join the Banking team, focusing on Core Banking and Payment platforms. You will work across API, backend, and transaction flows with automation and manual testing to ensure reliability and quality.

The role is remote from Poland or Portugal (contractor) or onsite relocation in Cyprus; reporting to the Team Lead, with a focus on building strong QA practices and driving test coverage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA automation experience.
• Strong hands-on with Python, PyTest, Cypress, Playwright.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end functional, integration, regression, and system testing for Core Banking and Payment platforms.
• Build and maintain automated tests using Python (PyTest) and end-to-end browser automation tools (Cypress, Playwright).
• Create and execute test cases based on new feature implementations and participate in refinement sessions.
• Prepare detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data and coverage.
• Perform API and backend testing and manual testing when needed.
• Analyse logs and system flows to identify issues and root causes.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve quality and delivery.
• Contribute to delivering stable and reliable software in a banking environment.
