Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own testing across the full software lifecycle in a remote-first environment. You will build and evolve automation frameworks, apply AI responsibly to improve test coverage, and work with product teams to ensure stable, predictable releases.

The role emphasizes collaboration, Agile/XP practices, and DevOps alignment, with opportunities to learn and grow in modern tools and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on Automation QA experience.
• Experience building test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Proficient with Cypress or Playwright and JavaScript.
• Experience with BDD: Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Strong OO design and web tech knowledge (HTML, jQuery).
• Ability to write SQL queries for data validation and troubleshoot in Linux.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end testing across the SDLC in a CD environment.
• Plan and execute functional and automated tests, define test conditions and scenarios.
• Build, maintain and improve automation frameworks with modern tech.
• Use AI tools to generate/test cases, mock data, and document improvements with human oversight.
• Develop automated scripts, troubleshoot failures, and enhance test reliability.
• Collaborate with BAs and developers to understand systems and roadmaps.
• Support DevOps practices and CI/CD with Jenkins, Bamboo or GitHub Actions.
• Contribute to testing environments and cloud infrastructure as needed.
