AgileEngine is seeking a Python Application Security Engineer to automate security controls and embed secure coding into cloud workflows. You will drive AI-enabled security tooling and integrate secure patterns across our development pipelines.

Join a people-first team delivering modern software for Fortune 500 brands; the role emphasizes autonomous execution, deep Python expertise, and strong experience with cloud security tooling and IaC such as Terraform.

Qualifications

3+ years combining software engineering, security implementation or architecture.
Strong Python coding for security automation and scripting.
Hands-on with Wiz, Prisma Cloud or similar CSPM tools.
Experience deploying IaC checks with Terraform.
Experience with CSPM runtime security checks.
Ability to autonomously map and build automated security runbooks.

Responsibilities

Engineer and deploy AI-enabled secure code scanning capabilities and "Golden Images" to drive secure-from-the-start adoption.
Automate secure coding patterns and integrate them with traditional and Agentic SDLC workflows.
Architect the integration of SAST/DAST/SCA into enterprise CI/CD pipelines, tuning to reduce noise.
Implement runtime security checks via CSPM to maintain cloud visibility and threat posture management.
Provide code-level remediation guidance to developers and review complex application code.
