Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an Afterhours Driver Support Specialist for a fully remote role in Portugal. You will support drivers during night shifts, coordinate with dispatchers and brokers, and use TMS tools to resolve issues quickly from a home office.

The position requires experience in sales or logistics, strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently on afterhours schedules, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales, telephone customer support, logistics, transportation, dispatch, or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to explain time-sensitive information clearly.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making, especially under pressure or with incomplete information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for drivers facing issues during afterhours and night shifts.
• Listen empathetically, assess quickly, and provide practical solutions.
• Assist drivers with load, receiver, shipper, routing, and related transportation issues to keep schedule.
• Use Transportation Management System (TMS) to identify loads and retrieve shipment data.
• Coordinate with brokers and stakeholders for additional instructions or support.
• Communicate through Slack and dispatchers to ensure timely information routing.
• Maintain clear, accurate communication and follow through until resolution.
• Work with at least one teammate each shift and take ownership when needed.
• Identify recurring challenges and contribute to process improvements.
