Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a hands-on Lead Tech SRE in Portugal to own architecture, delivery, and continuous improvement of a growing cloud platform. You will lead a small SRE team, design and automate provisioning, observe and secure production systems, and drive cost optimization.

You will partner with the CTO and security teams, shaping the technical roadmap while delivering reliable, scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, platform or infra engineering, with leadership exp.
• Deep, prod-grade Kubernetes expertise incl. scale, upgrades, networking, and drift.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, GKE, IAM, VPC, and managed data services.
• Expert-level Terraform and reusable module design for multi-env environments.
• Proven ability to define architecture, write specs, evaluate trade-offs, and translate to plans.
• Experience coordinating technical delivery and guiding a small engineering team.
• On-call, incident management, postmortems, and reliability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own target architecture for the managed cloud platform on GCP and customer environments.
• Define roadmap and guide evolution from Beta to GA, balancing reliability and costs.
• Write specs, ADRs, RFCs with clear trade-offs and implementation details.
• Set SLOs and error budgets to steer engineering priorities.
• Lead delivery across a three-person team, removing blockers and guiding work.
• Define engineering standards for Terraform modules, Helm charts, and GitOps workflows.
• Automate lifecycle: provisioning, upgrades, scaling, backups, migrations, decommissioning.
• Own deployment strategy with ArgoCD and GitHub Actions and enable safe rollouts.
