Job summary

eXp Realty, a global full-service real estate brokerage with a cloud-based office, is hiring a Finance Accountant for its remote Portugal team. You will manage monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis to support audits and reporting.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in accounting/finance, 3–5 years of GL close experience, and fluency in Portuguese, Spanish and English; local GAAP knowledge is valued and Primavera/Odoo experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in business, majoring in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of combined experience in accounting and GL close process.
• Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English; additional languages valued.
• Strong understanding of local GAAP; US GAAP is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience with Primavera and Odoo is highly desired.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly close activities including preparation of journal entries, maintaining account reconciliations and monthly flux analysis.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions from Portugal and other EMEA countries.
• Ensure timely responses to client requests and internal queries.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
• Handle external and internal queries via email / phone.
• Identify and calculate provisions and exceptions to standard bookings; develop and document processes.
