Job summary

Dev.Pro, a remote-first, Europe-focused software development partner, is hiring a Test Automation Engineer to join our global engineering team supporting a high-volume fintech platform. You will build and maintain automated tests using Java and Cucumber, validate REST APIs and microservices, and contribute to secure, robust software through CI/CD practices.

You will collaborate across disciplines in an Agile environment, mentor teammates on QA best practices, and help escalate quality across

Qualifications

• 4+ years of QA Automation experience
• Experience with Cucumber and Java
• Experience testing microservices and backend components
• Knowledge of REST, web services, XML, JSON, SQL, Tomcat and Linux
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar)
• Understanding of secure development practices
• Understanding of functional, integration and regression testing techniques
• Experience in Agile/Scrum and continuous delivery
• Ability to mentor team members and promote QA best practices
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Upper-Intermediate+ English level

Responsibilities

• Drive stories to completion with automated testing and documentation
• Create, enhance and maintain test automation frameworks
• Define and execute automated tests with Cucumber and Java
• Test microservices and backend components for performance and reliability
• Validate REST APIs, web services, XML/JSON data and SQL interactions
• Support CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery
• Apply secure development practices and compliance in testing
• Participate in Scrum/Agile ceremonies with cross-functional teams
• Mentor teammates on quality guidelines and best practices
• Support stakeholders in QA strategy and decision-making
• Evaluate and report on new testing tools and techniques
