Capital on Tap in Portugal is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to guide one of our product engineering teams. This is a people-first leadership role focused on growth, wellbeing, and performance, while staying technically credible to shape direction and remove blockers.

You will hire, develop, and retain engineers, partner with Product and QA to plan and ship reliably, and drive a culture of high standards and psychological safety. This role targets scaling fintech with a strong product focus.

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in fintech or scale-up environments.
• Ability to shape direction while staying technically credible and delivery-focused.
• Strong product mindset with focus on outcomes over pure tech.
• Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-growing company.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, hire, develop, and retain engineers; run meaningful 1:1s.
• Deliver with Product and QA by removing blockers and managing risk.
• Set team culture, feedback practices, and psychological safety.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
