Syffer in Portugal is seeking a seasoned SQL Server DBA to design scalable relational schemas, optimize queries, and implement robust indexing and recovery strategies.

You will tackle high-load, production systems, collaborate in CI/CD, support Linux-based databases, and work in a hybrid setup with remote options.

Fluent English required; experience with AWS, Docker, EF Core, and multi-tenant SaaS is a plus.

Qualificações

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and engine internals.
• Advanced SQL skills focusing on optimization and performance.
• Deep understanding of indexing and execution plans.
• Proven track record diagnosing production performance issues.
• Knowledge of transactions, concurrency, and isolation levels.
• Experience managing large data volumes on Linux environments.
• Fluent in English.

Responsabilidades

• Design and evolve relational database schemas aligned with scalable SaaS architectures.
• Optimize complex SQL queries and their execution plans.
• Define and continuously improve indexing strategies.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks, deadlocks, and concurrency issues.
• Monitor and tune high-load transactional systems.
• Collaborate in CI/CD processes and database deployments.
• Support cloud and Linux database environments.
• Contribute to reliability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Hybrid work model.
