Syffer in Portugal is seeking a seasoned SQL Server DBA to design scalable relational schemas, optimize queries, and implement robust indexing and recovery strategies.

You will tackle high-load, production systems, collaborate in CI/CD, support Linux-based databases, and work in a hybrid setup with remote options.

Fluent English required; experience with AWS, Docker, EF Core, and multi-tenant SaaS is a plus.

Qualificações

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and engine internals.
• Advanced SQL skills focusing on optimization and performance.
• Deep understanding of indexing and execution plans.
• Proven track record diagnosing production performance issues.
• Knowledge of transactions, concurrency, and isolation levels.
• Experience managing large data volumes on Linux environments.
• Fluent in English.

What You'll do:

Who You Are:

• Strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server, including knowledge of the database engine;
• Advanced SQL skills, with a focus on query optimization and performance;
• Deep understanding of indexing strategies and execution plans;
• Proven experience in analyzing and resolving performance issues in production;
• Strong knowledge of transactions, concurrency, and isolation levels;
• Experience with large volumes of data and high-load systems;
• Familiarity with databases running on Linux environments;
• Fluent in english;

Nice to have:

• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Amazon Aurora;
• Knowledge of replication and read replica strategies;
• Experience with AWS (RDS, Aurora, EC2);
• Familiarity with .NET Core and .NET Framework ecosystems;
• Experience with Entity Framework / EF Core and ORM optimization;
• Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS architectures;
• Experience with containerized database environments (Docker);
